I think colours matter. If no black belt teaching, you have to find an external coach. This is what our Aikido people are doing. Nobody skilled in Aikido, so external coach. Unless your black belt friends want to join RP and set up the club, if not, blue belt doesn't seem to be a good reason for you to set it up.

Improving, but still losing in competitions because we are inexperienced. At least not losing in qualifying rounds.

Don't they want only people who are coaching certified? Guess a mininum criteria must be met before RP will want to hire him/her as a sports coach...

Yup, but a black belt would have a higher chance of getting accepted. Our Judo is one example.

Yup, RP got Judo.

Their proposer is a black belt. I don't know how long they took, but they started teaching around July 2005, which probably shows that they are already an IG.

May I know if the proposer the coach also? or do they hire and external coach?

The proposer is also the coach. I don't think they hire external coach, but some other black belts from other schools also come here to teach them.

I heard in 2004 some students in RP were very on on setting up a taekwondo club in RP, and even prepared a proposal but the proposal didn't materialize...

Anyone know the reasons??

I don't know. But did heard of the proposal. Someone says they are trying again, this time the Year 1s will do it. But so far, nothing heard yet.

I am not sure. I just know that you are recommended to participate in at least one of the clubs/societies. Clubs are set up by the different schools and centres of RP.

We call them IG, short for interest group.
